Red Velvet Cake

Cake

Ingredients:

  • 10 lb cake mix
  • 1lb 3 oz oil
  • Room Temp Water

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 325-340°F (rack oven) or 360-375°F (conventional oven).
  2. In a mixing bowl, add 2 pounds 7 ounces of water.
  3. Add 10 pounds of cake mix to the mixing bowl.
  4. Mix the water and cake mix together for 3 minutes on low speed.
  5. Add 2 pounds 3 ounces of water to the mixing bowl.
  6. Mix the water and cake mixture for 1 minute on low speed.
  7. Scrape the bowl with a spatula.
  8. Mix the cake mixture for an additional 2 minutes on medium speed.
  9. Add 2 pounds of water and 1 pound 3 ounces of oil to the mixing bowl.

10. Mix the water, oil, and cake mixture for 1 minute on low speed.

11. Scrape the bowl with a spatula.

12. Mix the cake mixture for an additional 2 minutes on low speed.

13. Pour the cake batter into four to five cake pans evenly.

14. Bake the cake in the preheated oven for approximately 40 minutes.

15. Check the cake for doneness by inserting a toothpick or cake tester into the center of the cake. If it comes out clean, the cake is done.

16. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for a hour.

17. Cut the cake into medium size cubes and transfer into wet mix bags.

18. Store cake in fridge until its ready to be used.
