Yuzu Glaze

Glaze/Drizzle

Measure out the following:

  • 1 cup glaze (can be powdered glaze in which case make the glaze first)
  • 1 cup yuzu marmalade
  • 5 tablespoons yuzu juice
  • Yellow food coloring (amount varies based on food coloring brand)
  • 1 table spoon poppyseeds
  1. Soak poppyseeds in a cup of cold water for 10 minutes.
  2. Strain poppyseeds from water with mesh sieve. Set aside.
  3. In a bowl, combine glaze and yuzu marmalade. Stir with spoon.
  4. Add the yuzu juice gradually. Stir thoroughly.
  5. Add yellow food coloring until mixture is a bright yellow consistency.
  6. Add the poppyseeds. Stir until mixture is even.
  7. Transfer to metal tin.
  8. Store in fridge until ready for use.

This glaze will need to be warm to coat the donuts.
